Ali Brown* Scaredy Dog! Seminar
Does your dog
lunge, bark, or growl at strangers or other dogs? Feeling frustrated
and not sure how to handle it?
Or perhaps you’re
a trainer and have come upon such a dog in your classes and
would like to learn how to run a class for these “reactive”
dogs.
Ali Brown, author
of “Scaredy Dog! Understanding and Rehabilitating your
Reactive Dog”, will lead a seminar addressing the concept
of “reactivity” and teaching dog trainers and dog-training
organizations how to run classes for reactive dogs. This seminar
is also wonderfully informative and supportive for owners of
reactive dogs.
The all-day seminar
will be divided into a morning session (just for humans) including
discussion about reactivity and contributing factors such as
stress hormones, genetics, and socialization. Ali will also
introduce you to the skills necessary for managing and rehabilitating
the reactive dog – clickers, targeting, focus, car behavior,
and tricks. The afternoon will include two demonstration sessions
of a reactive class with up to six dogs pre-selected from the
seminar audience.
WHEN, WHERE,
etc. - The seminar will take place Saturday,
August 20th at G.O.D.O.G.S. which is located at:
1470 Swanson
Drive
Oviedo, FL 32765

The registration
fee for humans is $99.00. An additional fee of $20.00 will apply
to those dogs selected to participate in the afternoon demonstration
sessions. There will be coffee and doughnuts at 8:30am and the
seminar will begin promptly at 9:00am.
